Film Financing Company
Quicksand (Full Frame, Widescreen) A New York banker, Martin Raikes, flies to France to check on some "suspicious" transactions of a film production that his company is funding. Things start off calm as he visits the filming location where he meets Jake Mellows, the lead actor in the movie who seems to have mysterious affiliations to the company and the company's main liaison who seems to have an agenda of her own. However as Martin gets deeper and deeper in his investigations of the film's finances certain investors want him out of their affairs for good and they set him up to take the fall in an assassination of an important government official. Realizing he has been set up, Martin takes off running to prove his innocence...before the corrupt Chief of Police finds him. Now the only two people who can help him find the evidence he needs to set the record straight, are the same two people who can betray him and put him away for good.
